The perfect breakfast, when you are trying to spice things up a bit or WOW some house guests. My Prairie Pears Recipe has been something I've been trying to perfect for some time now, and whether I want to top them with greek yogurt for breakfast or ice cream for dessert, they are always worth the anticipation while making them. They are a beautiful addition to your Instagram grid, that will forever warm your heart.

Go out and grab you a nice linen sack full of fresh yellow pears (1 pear per person is usually plenty enough)

                                               What You Will Need

  • Pears cut into halves
  • 1 cup regular oats
  • 1 cup Milk/Almond Milk
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1 tsp. of molasses
  • vanilla greek yogurt
  • 1/3 cup Cane Syrup or Maple Syrup
  • pinch of Flax Seed
  • Honey
  • Dehydrated Dates
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

                 Step By Step

  1. Cut Pears Into Halves and Using A Spoon Scoop out Seeds, leaving a crater indention in the pear.
  2.  Slice off the rounded back on the pear, so it won't roll around on the pan.
  3. Mix together 1/2 tsp. of Vanilla Extract and Syrup in a small bowl and brush the glaze over the top of the pears.
  4. Heat the oven to 350 degrees and place the pears in the oven for 25-30 mins until softened.
  5. Add your oats and cinnamon to an unheated pot and stir together evenly.
  6. Add your milk, ginger, 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract, and molasses and continue stirring in the mixture.
  7. Set your pot on medium-low heat and stir until heated and fluffy.
  8. Allow your pears to cool for 5 minutes and using a spoon/ice cream scoop,  add oatmeal mixture on top of your pears.
  9. Top oatmeal with 1 tsp of vanilla greek yogurt
  10. Sprinkle on Flax Seeds and add the dehydrated Dates on top
  11. Sit by the candlelight, take pictures, and enjoy the heavenly taste of Prairie Pears.
